SHS Earns National Recognition

Good Evening SHS Families,

Sandwich High School has been recognized by U.S. News & World Report as one of the top 40% of high schools in the nation and ranked among the top high schools in Illinois.

U.S. News and World report evaluated and ranked more than 18,000 public high schools nationwide, using measures of student achievement, college readiness, graduation rates, and other indicators of academic success.

While receiving national recognition is certainly something to celebrate, what makes this accomplishment especially meaningful is what it represents. This recognition reflects the hard work, dedication, and commitment of our students, families, community, and especially our staff. Every day, our staff works to create opportunities for students to learn, grow, and prepare for their futures.

I am incredibly proud to be part of the Sandwich High School community and grateful for everyone who continues to make SHS a special place for our students. This recognition is something we can all be proud of, and I look forward to celebrating many more academic accomplishments together.
